Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Like all families, mine can be a little....lets say, "tiring". Well this year went pretty smoothly if I dare say so. I just got back from a car ride around the neighboring towns looking at the holiday lights. We started this about 5 or 6 years ago; it was me, my mother, my grandmother and two of my neices. It was sooo much fun that year. My grandmother got to see the lights and my neices, mom and I sang at the top of our lungs. We try to do it every year on Christmas eve or Christmas night. Unforuntately my grandmother isnt comfortable out after dark now. We tried to bring Yellow Dog the past couple years but he just gets way too excited with all the girls and the singing. Its still fun. My Mom had the most fun this year. She deserves it; she has a lot going on. Anyway, I hope evryone had a wonderful holiday and I wish everyone a happy new year!

Christmas is when!?!?

Here are two of the peices I have completed. I was able to scan these in now that I have my scanner hooked up to this new computer. I need to recharge the battery for my digital camera before I can post images of my larger pieces. I usually charge it as soon as I see the warning light come on but I must have forgotten last weekend. Im a dork; a busy dork! These two little cuties for now....
This is my favorite. I have had it on my desk since its completion and was thinking of keeping it. Then I thought of how perfect a gift it would be! It is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1/2" on wood; sides are painted black and framing is not necessary. It is free standing but can be hung. Absolutely adorable on a shelf or desk!
YellowDog under Tree is on a piece of 9 1/4" x 9 1/4" x 3/4" hard maple; sides are painted black and framing is not necessary. This piece is also free standing or can be hung if simple hardware is added.This is a nice simple piece. There is a tree in my front yard that YellowDog always likes to sit under when he has finally tired from chasing chippy and all his fast little friends.

Heads up! Super YellowDog and the smallest piece posted below (yellowdog with hills and sun) are no longer available. They are both on their way to good homes in time for the holidays! Thanks again to everyone. As soon as I am home during day light hours I will take some digital pics of the newest pieces I have available; I have a new favorite to reveal!

*PHEW* I have really started to love working the Holiday Bazaars but they are all so close together! Im pooped! My final bazaar of the year was Saturday and I spent Sunday making special request items I received. Im happy to say I am all caught up. For anyone checking out my site looking for items like those I sold at the bazaars, just email me with questions or for information. I have some items left and I will gladly make more if there is something specific you are looking for (yellowdogart@aol.com ). I will include a section on my new website for items other than my paintings--promise! I was asked to donate a painting and a wild woman pin to my local grade school so I guess that is my next project. I have several paintings in progress that I hope to finish up this week or this coming weekend so check back---I will post them here soon! I think I have also decided upon the look for my ned site--wish me luck.

Wow! What a great response from the Humane Society Auction! I cant wait to hear how they did overall. Dont forget, not everyone is able to provide a four legged friend a new home but most can help by donating blankets or warm towels (for bedding), canned food or even office supplies to help our two legged friends in the office. Check out the Humane Society's web page to see what they need the most. I am flattered by the emails and hope to have my new web site up soon; until then I will post new work here in my blog for super easy access. They go so fast, I cant keep up! But thats a good thing--you keep asking and I will keep painting! So by request, I have posted images of the yellowdog pieces I currently have available. Super yellowdog! Yellowdog actually saved his arch nemesis, Chippy the Chipmunk, so I thought he deserved this. Do you have a super yellowdog?!

Yellowdog is definitely a boy but pink being so "in" we had to give it a try. This peice was actually one of two done for a customer to choose from. This is my neices' favorite.
